Stemtac Foundation is dedicated to empowering BIPOC and underserved communities through our targeted and accessible STEM programs. Our mission is to nurture strong STEM identities and create a seamless STEM Education-Employment Pipeline. Our core pillars: Education, Entrepreneurship, Business Development, and Social Justice guide our philosophy, and enable us to support education and career success in STEM fields.
We measure success by assessing the formation of STEM Identity, increases in educational outcomes, and the career advancement of program participants within the STEM fields. We believe that a strong STEM identity is the cornerstone of success in STEM fields. We focus particularly on supporting groups who experience barriers to developing a STEM Identity, such as BIPOC and other minority students—including women and economically disadvantaged individuals— helping them see themselves as capable and innovative contributors to the STEM world.
Stemtac Academy (SA) serves as the education face of SF, and is our hub for STEM programming. SA offers STEM learning opportunities for K-12 and adult learners, available both in-person and online.
Our programs are designed to:
* Enhance Inclusion: Provide a welcoming and supportive environment where scholars from all backgrounds feel valued and recognized.
* Promote Engagement: Offer hands-on learning experiences that encourage active participation and foster a deep connection to STEM disciplines.
* Facilitate Expression: Create spaces for scholars to communicate their STEM experiences and ambitions, reinforcing their identities as emerging professionals.
Our business incubation services are designed to equip new enterprises with the resources and education needed to thrive, from foundational business planning to sustainable growth strategies.
Our support extends to established businesses seeking to enhance their capabilities in strategic planning, IT, and marketing. Through direct consultancy and development initiatives, we help these businesses refine their strategies and achieve greater market presence.
Social justice is embedded in every aspect of our work. We strive to dismantle barriers to STEM education and careers faced by historically excluded groups by advocating for equity, working closely with community organizations to support our students' growth and success in STEM fields, and developing programs that address the specific needs of our diverse student body. Our efforts include family and community engagement programs that aim to create meaningful and sustainable impacts.
